Clatskanie, Ore. – State Representative Brad Witt, who represents all of Columbia County as well as portions of Washington and Multnomah Counties, has won the Democrat, Republican, and Independent Party nominations in his bid for reelection. On Thursday, the Secretary of State’s office certified the results from the May Primary Election which showed significant wins for Witt in each contest.
“I am honored to receive such an outpouring of support from members of all parties throughout the district” said Witt. “The results from the Primary Election show what our office is all about, representing the entire district and being a voice for all in Salem, regardless of party affiliation.”
Rep. Witt was supported by a broad and bipartisan coalition of community leaders, including Washington County Chair Andy Duyck. “Oftentimes, it’s not as simple as red versus blue. It’s about a willingness to strive beyond partisan labels and do what is right for your community,” Chair Duyck said. “Rep. Witt has been a strong regional advocate for the ability for local authority and economic development, issues that impact the county and its residents every day.”
